The DI-704UP is an Ethernet Broadband Router with a built-in 4-port switch. It also features a USB port to share a printer on the home or office network and includes a print server application for Windows1. As many as four computers can be connected to the router’s integrated switch by using its four 10/100Mbps Auto MDI/MDIX Ethernet ports. The DI-704UP package even includes an Ethernet cable to get you started.
The DI-704UP is ideal if you are creating your first home or small business network, or if you are looking for additional management settings for an existing network.
The DI-704UP includes a new, easy-to-use D-Link web-based graphical user interface (GUI) to configure the router. To prevent unwanted Internet intruders from accessing your private network, the DI-704UP also serves as a feature-rich firewall. Along with its firewall features, administrators or parents can easily configure to prevent certain web sites to be accessed by computers on the network. This feature is known as parental control to block out web sites containing explicit material.
